Well, Christmas has now come and gone here and it wasn't so bad! The curses have been lighter of late - alliteratingly, not that...that's a word. But, they have been and for that I am grateful. I'm also grateful for my job and my friends. They've kind of kept me sane.

To anybody I may have talked to during their first experience here I do hope that things are going well for you, that you're settling in.

How is everyone doing? I think we should all check in and - make sure we're all all right. In all ways.

Are we doing anything for New Year's?

I really, really hate to say this but I also think I miss my Mom. Which is saying a lot. I miss Sandy and Kirsten more and in a weird way, Julie but I miss ... my Mom.

Well, wasn't the last curse an interesting one. There were a lot of visitors. I hope they arrived home safely. Hmm, we should go bike riding soon.

Does anyone want a kayak?

Also, there's a punching bag installed in the basement now.

It's snowing! It's not snowing hard but it's snowing. I only ever had an actual white Christmas when I was young and my father and mother took me to Colorado. Well, they took me but my father had this whole sex therapy emergency and my mother spent all her time in the gym so I pretty much bunny-sloped and read.

But, it's nice to see it!

[ She has the device in her hands and she's looking down at it. At times she's glancing away. ]

Hello, City-ites. City-goers? So, this entire set-up kind of reminds me of Felicity. Funnily enough: J.J. Abrams’ first show which usually people haven’t heard of. It starred. Kerri Russell, Scott Speedman, and Scott Foley – funny that both actors were named Scott. Anyway, it was about Felicity following her crush, Ben across the country and until early in the fourth season when they again, rehashed this perpetual triangle they had going on it was pretty ground breaking. Not, that that is the reason I’m even mentioning it.

Anyway, for most of the first two seasons, episodes were bookended with Felicity’s recorded tape to her ex French tutor and her tutor, Sally’s response. Sally was the voice of Jeneane Garofalo. She was … wonderful, but again, not the point.

The point is, I feel like going a little Felicity and this is a handy recording device and without being too Truman show, as I know people will be listening, I want to be my own Felicity. Except, I want to talk to my best friend. Summer Roberts. So, for those of you who are listening…

Enjoy?

[ She gets up, wipes a tear away and the feed clicks off. And then switches back revealing Taylor lying on her bed. Video again, City! ]

Okay. Hi. I had to get that out of my system. I apologize for those of you annoyed or bothered by it. I never directly introduced myself. I want to give a shoutout to Reid, he was very helpful. And, okay.

I’m Taylor. Taylor Townsend. I’m from Newport, California…and I feel like I’m at an AA meeting. Or, a speed-dating…thing. Anyway, hello. I heard we’re supposed to get a job. I’m all for making it in any economy and with credit cards way invalid here, I’m up for anything. Is anyone looking for anything in particular?

I have or can develop any real skill you need. I am not above waitressing or even bartending.

Um. I think that’s really it. City-Summer, if you hear this, talk to me when you’re ready and find out how I’m from two and some years in your future and we’re best friends.

I miss you.

[ End feed. Except, the feed doesn’t end because the City sucks and Taylor sinks back on her bed, curling up. No, she is not crying. There are things in her eyes. Like, things, okay? ]
